Outdoor Wall Lantern With Dusk-to-Dawn Sensor

The Vaxcel Kinzie T0566 is a single-light outdoor wall lantern finished in black with clear glass panels. It mounts to a wall and uses a built-in photo cell to switch on automatically at dusk and off at dawn. The fixture suits porches, entryways and garages where hands-free security lighting is wanted.

Wet-Rated Construction And E26 Lamp Limit

Rated for wet locations, the steel housing and clear glass withstand direct weather exposure. The socket accepts one E26 medium-base lamp up to 60 watts, and the open bottom allows bulb changes without tools. No ballast or driver is integrated, so only lamps marked for that base and wattage may be used.

60-Watt Capacity And LED Compatibility

At the 60-watt maximum the lantern delivers full output for a typical entryway; brighter illumination would require a second fixture or a higher-wattage circuit not supported here. LED lamps within the same base and wattage envelope run cooler and last longer, while vintage Edison-style filaments fit the clear glass aesthetic.

Questions about this item

Should I choose the 60-watt version or a lower-wattage LED for the E26 base?

The fixture accepts one E26 medium-base bulb up to 60 watts; an LED equivalent will give the same light with less power draw and runs cooler in the clear glass housing.

What does the dusk-to-dawn photocell actually do once the lantern is mounted?

The built-in photocell switches the light on automatically at night and off at daybreak, so the entrance stays lit without a timer or manual switch.

How does the ETL wet rating limit where I can install the Kinzie?

ETL wet rating means the lantern is tested for direct exposure to rain and splashing water, so it can mount on any exterior wall — porch, garage or entryway — without additional shelter.
