Vaxcel Gage Outdoor Wall Lantern

The Vaxcel Gage is a black outdoor wall lantern designed for residential exteriors. Its farmhouse and industrial styling suits front doors, porches, patios, garages and barns. The fixture mounts directly to a wall surface and includes a built-in photocell sensor for automatic dusk-to-dawn operation. Clear glass panels provide maximum light output for safety and visibility.

Wall Mount with Integrated Photocell

This sconce requires a standard wall mounting location and a compatible outdoor-rated bulb, neither of which are included. The integrated photocell eliminates the need for a separate timer or manual switching, freeing the homeowner from daily on-off routines. Weather-resistant construction handles rain, sleet and snow without additional protective enclosures. Installation follows typical exterior lighting wiring practices.

Volcanic Black Finish with Wire Cage

The seven-inch frame uses a volcanic black finish over weather-resistant materials for long-term durability. Clear glass panels and an open wire cage shade allow broad light distribution across entryways and pathways. The design suits general outdoor illumination but does not support motion activation or smart-home integration. Buyers needing adjustable colour temperature or remote control should consider other fixtures.

Questions about this item

What is the first limit that shows up under sustained use?

The built-in photocell sensor automatically turns the light on at dusk and off at dawn, so continuous daylight operation is the limiting factor for energy use.

How much noise, heat or power does it produce once it is running all day?

The fixture uses weather-resistant materials and clear glass panels with no moving parts, so it generates no audible noise and minimal heat during all-day operation.

What else must I already own for this lantern to work?

You need a standard outdoor electrical junction box and wiring at the mounting location, plus a compatible bulb for the socket.
