Non-slip rug pad for hard floors
The Veken VK523 rug gripper pad measures two by three feet and is made from polyvinyl chloride. Its open grid design keeps area rugs from sliding or bunching on hardwood, tile and similar hard surfaces. The white rectangular pad also protects the floor underneath from everyday wear such as high heels or children playing.
Hand-wash care and light weight
At .47 pounds the pad is easy to lift for cleaning and the manufacturer specifies hand washing only. The PVC construction resists tearing by hand and the open grid allows air to circulate, which helps reduce dust settling beneath the rug. No power, cooling or noise considerations apply to this passive floor accessory.
Trimmable to custom shapes
Household scissors can cut the pad to fit unique rug sizes or irregular outlines, and the same grip works for futons, seat cushions and pet feeding mats. The supplier advises against use on vinyl, lacquered, acrylic, natural stone, porous, refinished, concrete or heated floors. No bundled software or additional fixings are included.

Questions about this item
How do I trim the Veken VK523 rug gripper pad to fit my rug, and what mistake should I avoid?
Use household scissors to cut the PVC grid to the exact shape you need, but measure twice first because the open grid cannot be rejoined once cut.
What cleaning method will the pad need over its life?
Hand wash only with mild detergent, then air dry flat; machine washing or tumble drying will damage the PVC grid.
Which floor types will cause the pad to fail or damage the surface first?
Avoid vinyl, lacquered, acrylic, natural stone, porous, refinished, concrete or heated floors — the gripper can discolour or bond to those surfaces.
