Industrial Strength Fastener Roll

Velcro 90198 is a 2-inch by 15-foot white hook and loop roll with a self-adhesive, waterproof backing. It delivers 50 percent stronger holding power than standard hook and loop tape, rated up to 10 lbs. The industrial-grade fastener is designed for indoor or outdoor use and sticks to most surfaces including plastic. It suits anyone needing a removable, heavy-duty mounting solution for tools, decorations or organisation.

Check Surface And Environment

Verify that the mounting surface is clean, dry and compatible with a waterproof adhesive before applying the sticky-back fastener. The roll is designed for indoor or outdoor use, so confirm the location matches those conditions. Because the tape is cut-to-fit, measure the required length against the 15-foot supply to ensure adequate coverage. No tools are required for installation beyond scissors for trimming.

Upgrades Standard Hook And Loop

This product replaces standard hook and loop fasteners when a stronger, weather-resistant bond is needed. The jump is worth it for applications that exceed the holding capacity of regular tape or that face moisture, submersion or outdoor exposure. It is not for buyers who need a permanent mechanical fixing, a fastener rated above 10 lbs, or a width other than 2 inches.

Questions about this item

Does the Velcro 90198 roll include scissors or a cutting tool, or do I need to supply my own?

The roll is sold as a single carded unit with self-adhesive hook and loop tape; cutting tools are not included, so you will need scissors or a knife to trim the 2-inch wide strip to length.

Is the 2-inch by 15-foot white roll the only size and colour available for this industrial-strength model?

This listing covers the white 2-inch by 15-foot roll sold as one card; other widths, lengths or colours are separate items not described here.

How much weight can the waterproof adhesive actually hold when the tape is used on a vertical wall indoors?

The manufacturer rates the industrial-strength fastener at up to 10 lbs of holding power, and the waterproof adhesive maintains that grip on most surfaces including plastic, indoors or outdoors.
