Brass Fuel Cap 2 in Non-Vented

The Velvac 600196-1 is a brass fuel cap with a 2 5/16 in neck diameter and a 2 1/4 in cap diameter. It features a threaded design with an attached chain and cross bar for secure retention. The cap is non-vented and lockable with two keys included. It is compatible with gasoline, diesel, and oil fuel types.

For Trucks and Equipment Needing Lockable Fuel

This cap suits operators of trucks, trailers, or plow equipment requiring a lockable, non-vented brass fuel cap with a 2 5/16 in neck. It is not for systems that require a vented cap to manage pressure or vacuum. Buyers needing a different neck diameter or a vented design should look at other options.

Brass Construction Resists Corrosion Under Daily Use

The solid brass body withstands exposure to fuel, oil, and road grime without rusting. The threaded seal and cross bar keep the cap secured during vibration and rough terrain. The lock mechanism operates reliably after repeated cycles. The non-vented design maintains a consistent seal in steady-state conditions.

Questions about this item

What size tank neck fits the 2 5/16 in neck diameter of this Velvac 600196-1 fuel cap?

The cap threads onto a 2 5/16 in diameter tank neck with a matching 2 5/16 in neck length for a secure seal.

Will the brass construction resist corrosion when used alongside older steel tank fittings?

Brass resists galvanic corrosion better than dissimilar metals, so it pairs well with existing steel necks without accelerated wear.

How can I confirm the non-vented seal is holding pressure after installation?

With the cap locked using one of the two included keys, the tank should maintain vacuum during a standard pressure test without hissing.
