Filler Neck Kit for Small Inside Diameters

This Velvac kit adapts a fuel filler neck with a small inside diameter to accept a standard 2-inch female fuel cap. It is intended for automotive fuel system maintenance or repair where the existing neck size does not match the replacement cap.

Includes Adapter Instructions and Adhesive

The package supplies the aluminum adapter, installation instructions, and adhesive fuel tank cap adapters. These components allow the installer to securely fit the 2-inch cap onto the smaller neck without requiring fabrication or separate hardware sourcing.

Aluminum Construction With Adhesive Mounting

The adapter is made from aluminum for corrosion resistance in fuel environments. Adhesive mounting provides a permanent bond to the neck, meaning the installation is not intended for frequent removal or service access.

Questions about this item

Will the aluminium adapter need periodic re-sealing or replacement?

The aluminium adapter is a single-piece component with no service interval; it remains in place unless the filler neck or cap is changed.

What is the first limitation when the adapter is used continuously on a vehicle?

The adapter fits only filler necks with a small inside diameter and accepts a 2-inch female cap; it will not seal larger necks or different thread pitches.

Does the adapter affect fuel vapour temperature or create extra heat during all-day operation?

The passive aluminium adapter adds no power draw and generates no heat; fuel temperature is unchanged by its presence.
