Velztorm Erebix desktop for 1080p gaming

This Velztorm Erebix system pairs a 3rd Gen AMD Ryzen 3 3100 quad-core processor with a GeForce RTX 3060 Ti graphics card. Thirty-two gigabytes of DDR4 memory and a 2TB PCIe NVMe SSD plus a 6TB hard drive provide capacity for games and media. Windows 11 Pro is installed and the 750W power supply drives the components.

Upgrade from older quad-core or integrated graphics

The jump is worthwhile when moving from a dual-core CPU or integrated graphics that cannot sustain 1080p frame rates. The RTX 3060 Ti with 8GB GDDR6 adds DirectX 12 support and G-SYNC compatibility for smoother gameplay. Builders who need more than 32GB of RAM or a newer CPU socket should look elsewhere.

Air-cooled chassis with standard ATX layout

The 750W unit and air cooler fit the 8.75 by 16 by 17.5 inch case without custom brackets. Connect the 8-pin CPU and PCIe power cables, seat the GPU, then attach the 802.11n Wi-Fi antenna. A common issue is forgetting to enable the NVMe drive in BIOS before installing Windows.

Questions about this item

Will the 8.75 IN wide by 17.5 IN high case fit on my desk shelf?

The chassis measures 8.75 IN wide, 16 IN deep and 17.5 IN high, so verify your shelf clearance against those dimensions.

Which cables must I connect to get the RTX 3060 Ti running?

Plug the monitor into the GPU HDMI port, attach the PSU PCIe power leads to the card, then connect keyboard, mouse and power cord.

Can I add more storage later and what drive sizes does the case accept?

The 3.5 IN 6 TB HDD shows the case supports 3.5 IN drives; the 2 TB PCIe SSD occupies an M.2 slot, leaving room for additional 3.5 IN or 2.5 IN drives.
