Velztorm Ferrux Ryzen 9 5900X Gaming Desktop

The Velztorm Ferrux is a pre-built gaming desktop powered by a 12-core AMD Ryzen 9 5900X processor with 64MB cache and a Radeon RX 6900 XT graphics card with 16GB GDDR6 memory. It includes 16GB DDR4 RAM and a 4TB PCIe NVMe SSD running Windows 10 Pro.

Suits high-refresh 1440p or 4K gaming.

This configuration targets players who want strong 1440p or entry 4K performance in a single GPU system. The 16GB DDR4 capacity limits users running heavy creative suites, virtual machines or large memory-bound datasets; those buyers should look at a 32GB or larger option.

12-core CPU with 64MB L3 cache drives frame rates

The Ryzen 9 5900X operates at a 3.70GHz base clock with boost up to 4.8GHz, feeding the Radeon RX 6900 XT through a 750W power supply. This core count and cache size determine how well the system handles CPU-heavy titles and background tasks simultaneously.

Questions about this item

How can I confirm the Ryzen 9 5900X is running at its 4.8 GHz boost clock after setup?

Open Task Manager’s Performance tab or a hardware monitor such as HWInfo and watch the core frequency under load; it should reach 4.8 GHz on the 12-core processor.

What components ship inside the Ferrux chassis and what must I add myself?

The box contains the assembled desktop with the Radeon RX 6900 XT graphics card, 16 GB DDR4 memory, 4 TB PCIe NVMe SSD, 750 W power supply, 240 mm AIO liquid CPU cooler, Windows 10 Pro licence, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n and Ethernet; you only need to provide a monitor, keyboard and mouse.

Which RAM capacity should I choose for this Ryzen 9 system — 16 GB, 32 GB, 64 GB or 128 GB DDR4?

16 GB handles current games well; 32 GB gives headroom for streaming or heavy multitasking; 64 GB or 128 GB are only needed for professional content-creation workloads such as video editing or 3D rendering.
