Ready-to-game desktop for creators and players

The Velztorm Ferrux arrives with a 12-core Ryzen 9 5900X processor and a GeForce RTX 3050 graphics card. Sixteen gigabytes of DDR4 memory and a 2TB SATA SSD come pre-installed. Windows 10 Pro is loaded and the 750W power supply drives the 240mm AIO liquid cooler.

SATA SSD speed ceiling and GPU bus limit

The 2TB drive uses a SATA interface, so sequential transfers top out near the 6 Gbit/s link rate rather than PCIe speeds. The RTX 3050 runs on a PCIe 4.0 x8 electrical connection, which caps bandwidth for very high frame-rate scenarios. DirectX 12 Ultimate features are supported in hardware.

Check motherboard memory slots

The system ships with 16GB of DDR4 DIMM modules; verify how many slots remain free if you plan to expand toward the 32GB, 64GB or 128GB options. Ensure your workspace has room for a full-size desktop tower and that the 240mm radiator exhaust path is not blocked by shelving or walls.

Questions about this item

Which storage option should I pick for this Velztorm Ferrux — 512GB, 1TB, 2TB or 4TB SATA SSD?

The 2TB SATA SSD gives plenty of room for modern games and media while keeping the system responsive; choose 4TB only if you store very large libraries, and drop to 512GB or 1TB only for tight budgets.

What does the Ryzen 9 5900X 12-core 3.70 GHz to 4.8 GHz spec actually deliver in daily use?

Twelve cores and a 4.8 GHz boost let the processor chew through streaming, rendering and heavy multitasking without stalling, while the 64 MB L3 cache keeps frame times smooth in CPU-bound titles.

How does the RTX 3050 8GB GDDR6 PCIe 4.0 card perform at 1080p with DirectX 12 Ultimate?

The 8 GB GDDR6 frame buffer and PCIe 4.0 link let the RTX 3050 run current 1080p games on high settings with DirectX 12 Ultimate features enabled, supported by WINDFORCE 3X cooling.
