12th Gen i9-12900K desktop

This Velztorm Orix desktop pairs a 12th Gen Intel Core i9-12900K processor with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 graphics card. The system ships with 64GB of DDR5 memory and a 2TB PCIe NVMe solid-state drive. Windows 10 Pro is pre-installed on the 850W powered chassis.

Upgrading from integrated graphics

The RTX 3050 adds dedicated GDDR6 video memory and DirectX 12 support for titles that cannot run on integrated graphics alone. The jump is worthwhile when you need hardware-accelerated encoding or G-SYNC compatibility on a variable-refresh monitor. Buyers who want more graphics memory or higher frame rates at 1440p should consider a different tier.

Check case clearance and PSU cables

Verify that your workspace fits a full-size tower with a 360mm liquid cooler radiator. Confirm the motherboard has free DIMM slots if you plan to expand beyond the installed 64GB DDR5. Ensure the 850W unit includes the PCIe power connectors required by your chosen graphics card.
