Velztorm Orix i9-12900K RTX 3070 Desktop

The Velztorm Orix is a pre-built gaming desktop powered by a 12th Gen Intel Core i9-12900K processor with 16 cores and 24 threads. It includes a GeForce RTX 3070 graphics card with 8GB GDDR6 memory and 64GB of DDR5 RAM. The system ships with Windows 10 Pro installed on a 1TB SATA SSD.

High-core-count CPU with 64GB DDR5 for creators

This configuration suits users who need high thread counts for streaming, rendering or heavy multitasking alongside 1440p gaming. The 1TB SATA SSD offers limited capacity for large game libraries or media projects, so buyers who need more internal storage should plan to add drives. The 850W power supply supports the included components.

1TB SATA SSD boot drive determines storage speed

The single 1TB SATA SSD provides the operating system and primary application storage. SATA interface speeds are lower than PCIe alternatives, affecting large file transfer rates. Users requiring faster sequential throughput for video editing or rapid level loading must install additional storage themselves.

Questions about this item

What PCIe generation does the RTX 3070 GPU use, and what bandwidth does that cap the card at?

The GeForce RTX 3070 runs on PCIe 4.0 x16, so its peak link bandwidth is capped at the 4.0 specification limit rather than any newer standard.

What physical space and power connections are required for the 360 mm AIO liquid cooler inside the chassis?

The 360 mm radiator needs a triple-fan mounting location and the pump block draws power from a standard CPU fan header on the motherboard.

How is the 64 GB DDR5 memory installed, and which slot population mistake do builders often make?

The 64 GB kit fills four DDR5 DIMM slots; the common error is populating only two slots and leaving the other two empty, which halves the memory bandwidth.
