Velztorm Pilum desktop for 1080p and 1440p gaming

This Velztorm Pilum system pairs an eight-core Ryzen 7 3700X with an RTX 3060 Ti graphics card, 64 GB of DDR4 memory and a dual-drive layout of 512 GB NVMe SSD plus 6 TB hard drive. It ships with Windows 10 Pro and includes Wi-Fi, Ethernet and a generous selection of USB 3.1, USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 ports for peripherals.

Check motherboard USB headers

The chassis uses a 120 mm AIO liquid cooler for the CPU, so verify that your chosen case can mount a 120 mm radiator and that the motherboard provides the required fan and pump headers. Confirm the 750 W power supply has the necessary PCIe connectors for the RTX 3060 Ti and that rear I/O cut-outs match the supplied HDMI, DisplayPort and USB Type-C ports.

Thermals handled by 120 mm AIO with RGB lighting

The 120 mm all-in-one liquid cooler keeps the eight-core processor at stable temperatures during extended gaming sessions while RGB illumination adds visual flair. The RTX 3060 Ti runs within its 8 GB GDDR6 frame buffer at typical 1440p loads, and the 750 W unit supplies ample headroom for the whole platform without excessive fan noise.

Questions about this item

Does the Velztorm Pilum ship with a monitor, keyboard and mouse or do I need to buy them separately?

The system arrives with no display and no peripherals; you will need to supply your own monitor, keyboard and mouse.

Which CPU should I pick between the Ryzen 7 3700X and the Ryzen 7 5700X for this Pilum build?

The 3700X runs at 3.6 GHz up to 4.4 GHz with 8 cores; the 5700X runs at 3.40 GHz up to 4.6 GHz with 8 cores and 16 threads, so the 5700X gives higher boost clocks and double the threads.

What frame rates can I expect from the RTX 3060 Ti 8GB GDDR6 at 1440p in current games?

The 8GB GDDR6 card targets 60-plus fps at 1440p high settings in most modern titles, with headroom for higher refresh rates in esports games.
