Septex CTO Gaming Desktop

The Velztorm Septex CTO is a pre-built gaming desktop configured with an AMD Ryzen 7 7700X 8-core processor and a Radeon RX 6900 XT graphics card with 16GB GDDR6. It targets enthusiasts who want a ready-to-game system with high core counts and ample video memory for 1440p and 4K titles. The chassis ships in black with RGB lighting on the 360mm AIO liquid CPU cooler. Windows 10 Home 64-bit is installed, with a Windows 11 Pro upgrade path available.

Thermals noise and 1000W power supply

A 360mm AIO liquid cooler handles CPU thermals, moving heat away from the Ryzen 7 7700X which boosts up to 5.4GHz. The 1000W power supply delivers headroom for the Radeon RX 6900 XT and the 64GB DDR5 memory kit under sustained loads. WiFi 6 MT7921 and Bluetooth 5.2 share the same wireless module, reducing internal cabling. The system runs Windows 10 Home out of the box, keeping background processes predictable for thermal consistency.

Build integration ports storage and upgrade limits

The motherboard provides 2 USB 3.0 Type-A, 4 USB 2.0, 1 HDMI, 1 DisplayPort, USB 3.1 Type-C Gen1 and USB 3.2 Type-C Gen1 plus analogue audio jacks. A single 4TB PCIe NVMe SSD occupies the primary storage slot; no mechanical drive bay is populated. Memory is filled to 64GB DDR5 across the installed DIMMs, leaving no free slots for expansion beyond the configured capacity. The graphics card is the Radeon RX 6900 XT; buyers needing multi-GPU support or a second discrete card cannot add one.

Questions about this item

How is the 360mm AIO liquid CPU cooler installed, and which step do people get wrong?

The 360mm AIO liquid CPU cooler arrives pre-installed and pressure-tested. The step users often miss is removing the protective plastic film from the cold-plate before first boot, which blocks heat transfer to the Ryzen 7 7700X.

What maintenance or replacement will the 360mm AIO liquid CPU cooler need later?

The sealed 360mm AIO liquid CPU cooler is maintenance-free for its service life. If pump noise rises or CPU temperatures climb under load after several years, the entire cooler assembly would be replaced rather than refilled.

What limit shows up first on the Radeon RX 6900 XT 16GB GDDR6 under sustained gaming loads?

The Radeon RX 6900 XT 16GB GDDR6 will hit its power and thermal ceiling first during extended heavy gaming, causing clock speeds to settle at the sustained boost level rather than the peak 5.4GHz CPU frequency.
