System profile

The Velztorm Septex is a pre-built gaming desktop configured around an 8-core AMD Ryzen 7 7700X processor and a Radeon RX 6900 XT graphics card with 16GB GDDR6. It ships with 64GB DDR5 memory, a 4TB PCIe NVMe SSD and Windows 10 Pro installed. The platform targets enthusiasts who want a ready-to-run rig for high-refresh 1440p or entry 4K play without assembling parts themselves.

Upgrade path

This configuration replaces a self-built mid-range tower that relies on a 6-core CPU, 32GB RAM and a smaller NVMe drive. The jump is worthwhile when your workload regularly saturates 16 threads, exceeds 32GB memory in creative apps, or demands the 16GB frame buffer for texture-heavy titles. Buyers who only need 1080p gaming or lighter multitasking will find the extra cores and capacity idle most of the time.

Sustained behaviour

A 360mm AIO liquid cooler and a 1000W power supply keep the CPU and GPU fed during extended sessions. The large radiator surface dissipates heat from the 8-core chip at its 5.4GHz boost ceiling, while the high-wattage unit maintains stable rails for the Radeon board under continuous load. WiFi 6 MT7921 and Bluetooth 5.2 handle wireless traffic without adding thermal load inside the chassis.

Questions about this item

What clearance does the 360mm AIO liquid cooler need inside the case?

The 360mm AIO liquid cooler requires space for a 360mm radiator and three fans, so the case must support a 360mm front, top, or rear mounting location with enough depth for the radiator thickness and fan clearance.

How is the WiFi 6 MT7921 card installed, and what step is often missed?

The WiFi 6 MT7921 card is pre-installed in an M.2 E-key slot; the step people miss is attaching the two small antenna cables to the card before closing the chassis, otherwise wireless range will be very poor.

When will the AIO coolant need replacement, and what should be used?

The sealed 360mm AIO is designed to run for years without service; if temperatures rise after several years, the unit is replaced as a whole rather than refilled, using a compatible 360mm AIO cooler.
