Velztorm Septex Gaming Desktop

The Velztorm Septex is a pre-built gaming desktop powered by an AMD Ryzen 7 7700X 8-core processor and a GeForce RTX 3070 graphics card with 8GB GDDR6 memory. It ships with 128GB DDR5 RAM and a 2TB PCIe NVMe SSD, running Windows 10 Pro. The system includes a 360mm AIO liquid cooler and a 1000W power supply in a black chassis.

PCIe 4.0 graphics and DDR5 memory limits

The RTX 3070 operates on a PCIe 4.0 x16 interface, so maximum GPU throughput requires a motherboard and CPU that support that generation. The 128GB DDR5 configuration fills four DIMM slots at standard JEDEC speeds; XMP or EXPO profiles above the rated frequency are not guaranteed. WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2 provide wireless connectivity, while wired networking uses a single RJ-45 port.

Check case clearance and OS preference before

Verify that your workspace can accommodate a full-size tower with a 360mm radiator mounted at the front or top. The 1000W PSU uses standard ATX cables; ensure your local mains voltage matches the unit's rating. Windows 10 Pro is installed — if you require Windows 11 Pro, confirm the licence upgrade path or select that option at configuration. No monitor is included.

Questions about this item

Should I choose the 16GB, 32GB, 64GB or 128GB DDR5 option for this Septex build?

The 128GB DDR5 configuration suits heavy multitasking and content creation, while 64GB covers most high-end gaming; 32GB is the sweet spot for pure gaming, and 16GB is entry-level.

What does the Ryzen 7 7700X 4.5GHz base and 5.4GHz boost actually deliver in this desktop?

Eight cores and sixteen threads at those clocks give strong single-thread speed for gaming and enough parallel throughput for streaming or rendering workloads.

How does the RTX 3070 8GB GDDR6 on PCIe 4.0 perform inside this system?

The card runs at full PCIe 4.0 bandwidth, providing 8GB GDDR6 memory for 1440p gaming and VR-ready frame rates with G-SYNC support.
