Velztorm Vertix Gaming Desktop

This Velztorm Vertix is a pre-built mini-tower gaming desktop. It ships with a Ryzen 7 5800X 8-core processor, 32GB DDR4 memory, a 2TB SATA SSD and an RTX 3070 graphics card. Windows 10 Home is installed and the 750W power supply runs an RGB 120mm AIO liquid cooler in a turquoise finish.

Best for high-refresh 1440p play, not 4K ultra

The RTX 3070 with 8GB GDDR6 drives 1440p at high frame rates and supports DirectX 12 Ultimate, G-SYNC and VR. Buyers who want more storage than 2TB or who need 4K ultra settings should look at a different configuration. Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2 handle wireless peripherals and streaming.

2TB SATA SSD capacity and interface

The system includes a single 2TB SATA SSD and no mechanical drive. All games and applications must fit on this volume unless you add another drive later. The SATA connection determines the sequential read and write ceiling for this storage.

Questions about this item

What PCIe generation does the RTX 3070 graphics card use, and what bandwidth does that cap?

The RTX 3070 connects through PCIe 4.0, which caps its link at 16 GT/s per lane for maximum throughput.

What are the exact dimensions and mounting pattern of the Mini Tower chassis?

The Mini Tower form factor uses standard ATX motherboard standoffs and accepts a 120 mm AIO liquid cooler mounted to the top or rear panel.

How is the 2 TB SATA SSD installed, and which cable step do builders often miss?

The 2 TB SATA SSD slots into an M.2 socket on the motherboard; the step many miss is connecting the separate SATA data cable to the board header.
