Velztorm Vertix Mini Tower Gaming Desktop

The Velztorm Vertix is a compact gaming desktop built around an AMD Ryzen 7 5800X eight-core processor running at 3.80 GHz with a 4.7 GHz boost. It pairs 32 GB of DDR4 memory with 4 TB of NVMe storage across two 2 TB PCIe SSDs. An NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 graphics card with 8 GB of GDDR6 drives the visual output. The system ships with Windows 10 Home and a 750 W power supply.

PCIe 4.0 GPU and NVMe storage limits

The RTX 3070 connects through a PCIe 4.0 interface, so its full bandwidth is only available on motherboards that support that generation. The two 2 TB NVMe SSDs also rely on PCIe 4.0 lanes for their rated throughput. If the platform provides fewer lanes or an older generation, both the graphics card and the drives will operate at reduced speeds. The 750 W power supply sets the total power envelope for all components.

Upgrade from entry-level builds

This configuration replaces systems that use six-core processors, 16 GB of memory, a single 1 TB SSD and a GPU below the RTX 3070 tier. The jump is worthwhile when 1440p gaming, content creation or multitasking demand the extra cores, the larger memory pool and the faster storage throughput. Buyers who need more than 4 TB of fast storage or a higher-tier GPU should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

Which RAM capacity should I pick — 16GB, 32GB or 64GB DDR4?

The 32GB DDR4 fitted here gives ample headroom for modern games and multitasking; 16GB is the entry point, while 64GB suits heavy content creation.

What does the 4.7 GHz boost clock mean in daily use?

The Ryzen 7 5800X can reach 4.7 GHz on single threads, so bursty workloads and high-frame-rate gaming see peak speeds without manual overclocking.

How fast are the USB 3.2 Type-C Gen2 ports in practice?

USB 3.2 Type-C Gen2 runs at 10 Gbps, so large file transfers to compatible external SSDs hit near-full drive speed.
