Venus Laowa 60mm f/2.8 2x Ultra-Macro Lens Nikon F Mount

SKU CH-JGKE-XCY3M

Manual-focus macro lens covers 0.1x to 2x magnification with infinity focus and 60mm f/2.8 optics

  • 2x magnification captures tiny details at double life-size
  • Focuses from 0.1x to infinity without extension tubes
  • 60mm focal length suits both macro and portrait work
  • Manual focus and aperture give full creative control
  • 9 elements in 7 groups deliver sharp, colour-accurate images

Macro Range

The Venus Laowa 60mm f/2.8 2x Ultra-Macro Lens mounts on Nikon F cameras and covers a magnification span from 0.1x to 2x. It reaches twice life-size without extension tubes and still focuses to infinity. Photographers who want a single optic for close-up work and general shooting can use it for both.

Manual Control

The lens uses a 9-element, 7-group optical design and provides manual focus with a manual aperture ring. Aperture stops at f/2.8 and the focus throw lets you move smoothly from extreme macro to distant subjects. There is no autofocus motor or electronic aperture linkage, so exposure and focus are set by hand.

Build Integration

The 60mm focal length suits portrait and macro tasks on both FX and DX Nikon bodies. Its all-mechanical operation means it works on older film cameras as well as modern digital models. Users who need autofocus, vibration reduction or electromagnetic aperture control will not find those features here.

Questions about this item

Will the 60mm focal length work with my older Nikon F-mount film body?

Yes, the lens uses the Nikon F mount and covers the full-frame image circle, so it mounts and focuses to infinity on both film and digital F-mount bodies.

How can I verify the 2x magnification is accurate after mounting the lens?

Focus at the closest marked distance, photograph a ruler filling the frame, and confirm the recorded subject width matches the sensor width — that indicates true 2:1 reproduction.

Does the package include a lens hood or must I purchase one separately?

The supplied accessories are front and rear caps only; a dedicated hood is not included and must be bought separately if desired.
