A 100 mm f/2.8 tilt-shift macro lens with ±10° tilt, ±12 mm shift and 1:1 magnification for Nikon Z full-frame cameras
The Venus Optics Laowa 100mm f/2.8 Tilt-Shift 1X Macro is the first tilt-shift macro lens designed for Nikon Z full-frame mirrorless cameras. It combines a 100mm focal length with a fast f/2.8 aperture for macro and portrait work. Photographers who need perspective control and life-size magnification in one manual-focus lens will find it purpose-built. It is not for shooters who require autofocus or electronic aperture communication.
A tilt range of +/-10° and shift of +/-12mm give exact control over the plane of focus and perspective correction. The large image circle also covers medium-format sensors, expanding format flexibility. Manual focus operation demands deliberate adjustment, which suits tripod-based workflows. Handheld users who rely on quick autofocus will find the workflow too slow.
The lens achieves 1:1 magnification at a minimum focusing distance of 12.59 inches, capturing fine detail without extreme working distances. The f/2.8 aperture aids composition and focus peaking in low light. No accessories or software are bundled, so buyers add their own filters, hoods or focus aids. Photographers wanting a complete kit with dedicated macro lighting must source those separately.

The +/-12 mm shift moves the optical axis without tilting the camera, so converging verticals in architecture or unwanted reflections in product shots can be straightened while keeping the sensor plane parallel to the subject.
The lens extends about 12.59 inches at minimum focus, and the shift mechanism adds lateral travel of +/-12 mm plus tilt rotation of +/-10°, so allow extra space on the side and top of the camera for knob operation.
Turn the focus ring until the distance scale reads 12.59 inches, then fine-tune by moving the camera slightly forward or back until the subject fills the frame at life-size; the tilt and shift locks must be tightened first or the plane of focus will shift.
