Ultra-wide rectilinear lens

The Laowa 11mm f/4.5 FF RL mounts on Canon RF full-frame bodies and delivers a 126° angle of view. Its 14-element, 10-group design includes two aspherical and three extra-low dispersion elements for minimal distortion and chromatic aberration. The lens weighs 254g and measures 6.3cm long.

Ideal for expansive scenes; not for distant subjects

Landscape, architecture and astrophotography shooters benefit from the extreme field of view and 19cm minimum focus distance. Photographers needing telephoto reach, autofocus or faster apertures for low-light action should consider other optics.

Fixed f/4.5 aperture defines exposure flexibility

The constant f/4.5 maximum aperture sets depth-of-field control and low-light capability. A 62mm filter thread accepts screw-in filters, while a 100mm square filter frame can be used with minimal vignetting.

Questions about this item

Does the 11mm f/4.5 lens generate noticeable heat or draw extra power during long astrophotography sessions?

This is a fully manual lens with no electronic contacts, so it draws no power from the Canon RF body and produces no heat of its own during extended use.

What must my Canon RF camera already support for this 11mm lens to function?

The lens is a purely mechanical design with no electronic communication, so it works on any Canon RF-mount body without requiring firmware updates or specific camera features.

Will the 62mm filter thread on this 11mm lens vignette when I stack it with my older 100mm square filter holder?

The manufacturer confirms a 100mm square filter frame can be used without significant vignetting, so your existing holder should work cleanly at the 126° angle of view.
