Verbatim 64 GB fingerprint-secured USB drive

The Verbatim 70368 is a 64 GB USB flash drive that uses hardware-based 256-bit AES encryption and a built-in fingerprint sensor to protect stored data. It registers up to six fingerprints, removing the need to remember a password. The drive targets professionals and home users who want portable, encrypted storage without relying on software-based security.

USB 3.0 interface with Windows and Mac support

The drive connects through a USB 3.0 interface, providing faster transfer rates than USB 2.0 for moving multiple or large files. It works with Windows 7 and higher as well as Mac OS 10.13 and higher. A user management application handles fingerprint enrolment and access control. No internal headers, expansion slots or external power are required.

Sustained transfers handled by hardware encryption

Hardware-based AES encryption processes data on the drive itself, so protection remains active during long copy operations without taxing the host system. The fingerprint sensor authenticates each session before the storage becomes readable. Buyers who need capacities beyond 64 GB or who prefer software-only encryption should consider other options.

Questions about this item

How many fingerprints can the 70368 store before it stops accepting new ones?

The drive registers up to six fingerprints, so the limit is reached once a sixth print is enrolled.

Does the 64GB drive become noisy or hot during all-day transfers over USB 3.0?

It has no moving parts and no fan, so it runs silently and stays cool even during sustained USB 3.0 use.

Which operating system must the host computer already run for the fingerprint app to work?

The management app requires Windows 7 or later, or Mac OS 10.13 or later.
