A 2 metre cable supplying USB power and 12 V via DB9F COM2 for MX8xx terminals
This VeriFone 28531-02-R cable connects MX8xx point-of-sale terminals to host systems. It delivers USB power and a 12 V supply through a DB9F COM2 interface. The 2 metre length suits typical counter layouts. The assembly is ROHS compliant and supplied new.
Install this cable when the original link is damaged, lost or too short for a revised station layout. The single part restores both data and power paths without extra adapters. It is not suited for terminals outside the MX8xx family or for connections that require a different pin-out or voltage.

The cable is 2 metres long and ends with a DB9 female COM2 connector plus a USB power and 12 V feed for the MX8xx series.
Connect the DB9 female COM2 end to the terminal before attaching the USB power and 12 V lead; reversing the order can leave the power pins unseated.
