What this battery cabinet does

The Vertiv GXT5-EBC144VRT2U is a 144 V DC external battery cabinet built to extend the runtime of compatible Liebert UPS units. It is designed for operators of GXT5-5000MVRT4UXLN or GXT5-6000MVRT4UXLN systems who need longer backup during power interruptions.

Compatibility check before ordering

Verify that the UPS you are connecting is one of the two Liebert models listed in the specifications. The cabinet supplies 144 V DC output and will not function with UPS units that require a different voltage or connector arrangement.

Build and daily implications

The unit ships new as a dedicated battery cabinet in a rack-tower form factor. Its connectors are keyed for the supported GXT5 models, so installation follows the standard cabinet-to-UPS link without additional adapters.
