48V Lithium-Ion Battery Cabinet

The Vertiv VEBCLI-48VRT1U is a 48V external battery enclosure that uses lithium-ion cells to extend runtime for compatible UPS systems. Its 1U rack or tower form factor fits into standard enclosures while weighing 21.8 lbs. Auto-detection connectivity allows the UPS to recognise the cabinet and configure available runtime automatically.

For GXT5 Lithium-Ion UPS Owners

This cabinet suits operators of Vertiv Liebert GXT5 Lithium-Ion UPS units who need longer backup during outages. Lithium-ion chemistry lasts up to three times longer than traditional VRLA batteries, reducing replacement frequency. Buyers using other UPS models or lead-acid battery cabinets cannot use this enclosure.

48V Nominal Voltage Match

The single specification that decides fit is the 48V nominal voltage, which must match the UPS input exactly. Compatible models include the 1000, 1500, 2000 and 3000 VA GXT5 Lithium-Ion units listed in the specifications. A voltage mismatch will prevent operation, so verify the UPS rating before purchase.
