8" Grinder & 2"×28" Belt Sander Combo

This bench-top machine pairs an 8" grinding wheel with a 2" by 28" sanding belt driven by a 2.5 A induction motor at 3600 RPM. It suits hobbyists and small workshops that need both sharpening and contour sanding in one footprint.

Replaces Separate Grinder and Belt Sander

The combo removes the need to buy and house two standalone units for metal deburring, tool sharpening and wood shaping. The jump is worth it when bench space is limited and the 60# wheel plus 80# belt cover the grit range you regularly use.

Check Power, Dust Extraction and Clearance

Verify a 120 V 60 Hz outlet is available and that the 1.2" dust port matches your collector hose. Confirm the 15.8" × 14.6" × 10.6" footprint fits your bench and that the 32.8 lb weight is stable on the surface.

Questions about this item

How much bench space does the 15.8 x 14.6 inch footprint need?

The unit measures 15.8 inches deep by 14.6 inches wide and 10.6 inches high, so allow at least that rectangle on a sturdy bench plus clearance for the belt tilt and wheel guards.

What is the correct sequence to tension the 2.0 x 28.0 inch belt after fitting it?

Release the quick-change lever, seat the belt on the driven drum and idler, engage the lever, then use the track control knob to centre the belt before switching on.

When should the 60 grit wheel and 80 grit belt be replaced?

Replace the grinding wheel when the diameter wears below usable size or cracks appear, and replace the sanding belt when the 80 grit surface no longer cuts cleanly or the belt edges fray.
