8-Piece Wood Lathe Chisel Set for Woodworkers

The VEVOR 8-piece wood lathe chisel set supplies carbon steel turning tools for shaping bowls, spindles and other lathe projects. It is intended for beginners, hobbyists and professionals who want a ready-to-use assortment of profiles in one package.

Carbon Steel Blades Require Ongoing Maintenance

Carbon steel takes a keen edge quickly but will rust if left damp and dulls faster than high-speed steel on abrasive woods. Users must dry the blades after each session, apply a light oil film and plan for frequent touch-ups to maintain cutting performance.

Eight Specific Profiles Determine Project Fit

The set contains two skew chisels, a spear point, a parting tool, a round nose and three gouges in fixed sizes. If a project demands a profile or size outside this exact selection, additional tools will be needed.

Questions about this item

Which wood lathe chisel set should I choose for a beginner who needs a complete starter kit?

The 8-piece set includes two skew chisels (1/2 and 1 in), a spear point, parting tool, round nose, and three gouges (1/4, 1/2, 3/4 in) plus an Oxford bag, covering the core profiles a beginner needs.

How do the carbon steel blades perform when turning hardwoods on a benchtop lathe?

The pre-sharpened carbon steel blades arrive ready to cut hardwoods cleanly; the metal collar locks each handle so the blade will not loosen under heavy turning forces.

What does the Oxford bag add for storage and portability?

The included Oxford bag measures 430 x 330 x 35 mm and holds all eight tools totalling 1.29 kg, keeping blades protected and the kit easy to carry to the workshop.
