800 lb ballast box for tractor stability

The VEVOR ballast box adds up to 800 lbs of counterweight to a Category 1 three-point hitch. Its 4.3 ft³ steel body accepts sand, concrete or other dense material through a sliding door measuring 240 x 240 x 30 mm. A 2.2 in hitch ball and 70 mm tool-handle opening complete the loader attachment.

Suited for compact tractors needing rear balance

Operators who need to offset heavy front-end loads on a Category 1 tractor will find the 800 lb capacity and 4.3 ft³ volume appropriate. Builders requiring more than 800 lbs of ballast or a hitch system other than Category 1 should look at alternative solutions.

4.3 ft³ fill volume and 800 lb limit

The box comfortably holds enough sand or concrete to reach the rated 800 lb capacity while the 240 mm sliding door eases loading. Once filled to the 4.3 ft³ limit the unit reaches its maximum counterweight; heavier front implements will exceed the designed balance point.

Questions about this item

Which hitch category must my tractor already have for this ballast box to attach?

The box uses a standard 3-point Category 1 hitch system, so the tractor must provide Category 1 lower links and a top link.

Will the 2.2 in hitch ball size fit the 2 inch receiver I already use for trailers?

No, the 2.2 in ball is larger than a 2 in receiver; this ballast box mounts on the tractor's 3-point arms, not on a receiver hitch.

How can I confirm the box is seated correctly after hooking it up?

Check that both lower pins are fully inserted through the 70 mm tool-handle openings, the top link is secured, and the 9.45 x 9.45 in sliding door moves freely without binding.
