Questions about this item

Will the 36 inch jaw opening and 600 lbs load limit let me keep using my existing spring clamps for smaller sub-assemblies?

Yes, the 36 inch opening and 600 lbs capacity handle large panels while the two included spring clamps cover lighter, smaller joints without buying extra hardware.

How can I confirm the cast iron jaws and 45# carbon steel slide bar are aligned correctly after first use?

Check that the jaws meet squarely across the full 2-1/2 inch depth, the slide moves smoothly on the 39.96 inch bar, and the lock holds a test piece at the rated 600 lbs without slipping.

Does the package include everything needed to start clamping or must I buy extra pads or hardware?

The box contains two bar clamps, two spring clamps and a user manual; no additional pads or fasteners are required for basic woodworking or metalworking tasks.
