Outdoor Kitchen Access Door

The VEVOR BBQ Access Door is a flush-mount stainless steel door built for outdoor kitchen islands and grilling stations. It provides secure, weather-resistant access to storage or utility spaces behind the cabinet face. The double-door design suits both residential and commercial outdoor cooking areas. Its seamless construction eliminates sharp corners for safe handling.

Installation Fit And Clearance

The unit measures 660 by 610 by 45 millimetres overall, with a 26 by 24 inch face. The required cut-out is 23 by 21 inches, or 575 by 523 millimetres, and the supplier recommends adding 0.08 inch (2 millimetres) extra clearance for smooth operation. Recessed handles sit flush so they do not protrude into traffic paths. The integrated frame stiffens the opening without needing extra support brackets.

Storage Capacity And Durability

The door weighs 4.5 kilograms (9.9 pounds) and uses thickened stainless steel that resists rust and water exposure. It cleans without streaks and holds up to repeated daily cycles in sun, rain, or humidity. The U-shaped panel adds rigidity so the doors stay aligned over time. It is not suited for insulated indoor wall cavities or fire-rated enclosures.

Questions about this item

How much clearance should I leave around the 23 by 21 inch cut-out for the door to operate smoothly?

Reserve an extra 0.08 inch (2 mm) around the 575 by 523 mm installation opening so the flush-mount door opens and closes without binding.

Will the stainless steel panel get hot or make noise after hours in direct sun?

The 45 mm thick stainless steel door has no moving parts or electronics, so it stays silent and only warms passively like any metal surface in sunlight.

What mounting hardware do I need to have on hand before installing the 26 by 24 inch door?

The package includes one accessory set; have a drill, suitable screws or anchors for your island material, a level, and silicone sealant ready for the 660 by 610 mm frame.
