Water-to-air heat exchanger

This VEVOR C18 unit transfers thermal energy between a liquid circuit and an air stream. It uses three rows of 3/8-inch seamless copper tubes and 242 epoxy-coated aluminium fins to achieve a 133K BTU rating. The copper-brazed construction is CE certified and tested to 2.5 MPa working pressure.

Suits hydronic and forced-air systems

Installers connecting outdoor wood furnaces, residential hydronic loops or forced-air handlers will find the 18 by 20 inch core compatible with 3/8-inch plumbing. The -40 to 180 °C operating range covers extreme climates. Builders needing a different port size, a higher BTU output or a compact plate-style exchanger should look elsewhere.

133K BTU capacity decides fit

The single figure that determines whether this exchanger matches the load is the 133K BTU rating. Compare that number to the heating or cooling demand of the space; if the load is significantly lower or higher, a different capacity unit is required.

Questions about this item

Which capacity matches my furnace output — the 133K BTU or the 160kBtu per hour rating?

The 133K BTU figure is the listed heat capacity; the 160kBtu per hour value appears in the highlights as a generated output under ideal conditions.

What does the 133K BTU rating deliver when the unit is installed in a forced-air system?

It represents the effective heat-exchange capacity across the 18 x 20 in plate area with 242 fins and three 3/8 in copper tube rows.

What does the 2.5MP a pressure limit mean for my plumbing connections?

It sets the maximum working pressure at 2.5MP a, so piping, pumps and fittings must be rated for at least that pressure.
