Binding capacity for schools and offices

This comb binding machine punches up to 21 holes and binds 450 sheets in a single operation. It accepts letter, A4 and A5 formats with adjustable edge guides and side margins. The lever action punches upward and binds downward for straightforward document finishing.

Steps up from manual or low-volume punches

Replaces hand-operated comb binders that manage only a few sheets per lift. The jump is worthwhile when daily output regularly exceeds a dozen sheets per punch cycle or when consistent alignment across hundreds of pages is required. Offices with occasional single-report needs will not use the full capacity.

Sustained use with cast iron base

The powder-coated iron base and carbon steel blades maintain punching accuracy through repeated cycles without flex. Metal side arms and an ABS shell resist wear during back-to-back binding runs. The machine weighs 3.5 kg and measures 385 x 274 x 345 mm for a stable footprint.

Questions about this item

How much desk space does the 15.2 x 10.8 inch base require?

The machine measures 15.2 inches wide by 10.8 inches deep, so allow at least that footprint plus clearance for the lever arm.

Which lever direction punches and which binds on the STB12A?

Press the handle lever upward to punch holes and downward to close the comb; reversing the motion is the common error.

When should the carbon steel punching blades be lubricated?

Apply a drop of light machine oil to the blades after every few large jobs or when punching feels stiff; the included oil-absorbent paper catches excess.
