Pump Head Identity

The VEVOR FB-2090/12.5 is a twin-cylinder, oil-lubricated compressor pump head rated at 5.5 HP. It delivers 5.75 CFM at 90 PSI and reaches a maximum pressure of 185 PSI. The V-type cast iron construction suits workshops needing a durable replacement unit.

Mounting and Drive Checks

Verify that your existing motor shaft diameter and keyway match the pump input requirements. Confirm the mounting bolt pattern aligns with the 425 mm by 300 mm footprint. Ensure the drive system can supply the rated horsepower at the correct RPM for the 5.75 CFM output.

Upgrade Context

This pump head replaces worn single-stage or lower-CFM twin-cylinder units on tanks rated for 185 PSI. The jump is worthwhile when your current pump cannot meet the 162 L/min flow demand or struggles to reach the maximum pressure rating. It is not for systems requiring higher flow rates or different pressure limits.

Questions about this item

Does the FB-2090/12.5 pump head ship with any fittings or oil, or must they be purchased separately?

The package includes one user manual only; fittings, oil and any mounting hardware are not supplied and must be sourced separately.

How do I decide between the 5.5 HP and 12.5 model designations when choosing this twin-cylinder head?

FB-2090/12.5 is a single model number; 5.5 HP is the motor rating and 12.5 refers to the pump series, so there is no separate capacity version to select.

What does the 5.75 CFM at 90 PSI rating mean for actual shop use?

It delivers 5.75 cubic feet per minute at 90 PSI, enough to run typical spray guns, impact wrenches or sanders that require 4–6 CFM at that pressure.
