492 ft Fiberglass Fish Tape

The VEVOR fish tape provides 492 ft of 5/16 in diameter cable constructed from fiberglass, galvanized steel tube and ABS. It is designed for electricians and installers pulling wire through conduit, walls or ductwork. The non-conductive, rust-resistant and aging-resistant cable withstands 10 kN of pulling force and operates in temperatures from -40 to +80. A welded steel reel stand with a top handle and painted finish adds stability and portability on site.

Suited for long conduit runs, not short patches

The 492 ft length and 5/16 in diameter suit commercial and residential projects that demand extended reach through large-diameter conduit. The marked cable and sensitive brake allow precise length control during installation. Installers needing only a few dozen feet for junction-box work or tight bends will find this reel oversized and heavier than necessary for those tasks.

Steel reel stand with brake and three heads

The full-metal frame measures 26.4 x 8.5 x 30.7 in and weighs 33.5 lbs, mounting the fiberglass tape on a stable, rust-resistant stand. An extended brake handle controls payout speed while the surface markings appear every 2 ft. Three replaceable metal pulling heads are included in the package along with a pair of cotton gloves.

Questions about this item

What comes in the box and do I need to buy any pulling heads separately?

The package includes the 492 ft fish tape on its steel reel stand, three metal pulling heads and a pair of cotton gloves; no extra heads are required.

The diameter is listed as 5/16 in — is that the right size for standard ¾ in conduit?

At 5/16 in (7.9 mm) the tape fits comfortably in ¾ in and larger conduit while still being stiff enough for 492 ft runs.

What does the 10 kN pull rating mean when I am pulling cable through a 150 m run?

It means the fiberglass core can withstand up to 10 kN of tension, so long pulls with multiple bends stay well within the tape’s safe working limit.
