Training Size and Use

This football tackle wheel measures approximately 13.6 by 7.9 inches in its compact form and 27.8 by 7.9 inches when expanded, weighing 9.37 lbs. The high-density sponge core with a PVC cover is built for blocking and hitting drills. It suits players and coaches who need a portable dummy for angle tackle practice.

Replacing Basic Pads

The wheel upgrades flat blocking pads by adding a curved profile that rolls on impact, letting athletes train body position and leverage through motion. The jump is worth it when drills demand a moving target that returns upright after each hit, rather than a static shield that must be reset manually.

Material and Handling Limits

The PVC skin resists water and abrasion but can tear if dragged over rough surfaces or stored in direct sunlight. The heavy-duty grip strap aids control, yet the 4.25 kg mass still requires two hands for safe repositioning during fast-paced circuits.

Questions about this item

What are the exact dimensions of the tackle wheel?

The wheel measures 13.6 or 27.8 inches in diameter and 7.9 inches wide, which is 345 or 705 mm by 200 mm.

How do I secure the wheel for drills?

Use the heavy-duty grip straps to hold the wheel firmly; the step often missed is tightening them fully so the ring does not shift on impact.

What care will the PVC cover and sponge filling need?

Wipe the PVC surface with a damp cloth after each session and store it dry to prevent moisture from degrading the high-density sponge inside.
