Questions about this item

How often should the thermocouple and thermopile be inspected or replaced?

The assembly includes a 16 in thermocouple and 24 in thermopile; inspect them annually and replace if the pilot flame becomes unstable or the safety shut-off triggers unexpectedly.

Which component reaches its temperature limit first during continuous operation?

The thermocouple and thermopile are the primary heat sensors; sustained high flame temperatures will degrade these elements before the pilot tube or bracket shows wear.

How much heat does the pilot assembly add to the fireplace surround when running all day?

The compact bracket measures 6.30 x 4.72 x 1.57 in and weighs 0.42 lbs, so the pilot flame itself contributes minimal additional heat to the surrounding area.
