Purpose & Audience

The VEVOR GCHM-100-90 is a cylinder warmer designed for 100 pound gas tanks. It serves users who need consistent propane flow in cold environments by heating the cylinder to a fixed 90°F (32.22°C). The unit draws 280W and wraps the tank with a five-layer insulated blanket made from waterproof Oxford cloth, PVC, aluminum film, reflective film and fiber cotton.

Deciding Specification

The appliance maintains a constant temperature of 90°F (32.22°C) with no adjustable range beyond that set point. Buyers who need variable heat settings or higher maximum temperatures should look elsewhere, as the internal thermostat is fixed at this single operating point.

Build Integration

The blanket measures 53.14 by 50.28 by 0.67 inches and weighs 7.05 lbs (3.2 kg). It secures with Velcro fasteners and two sealing straps for tool-free installation in minutes. The warmer operates in ambient conditions from -22°F to 86°F (-30°C to 30°C) and includes a user manual. A standard mains connection is required to supply the 280W heating element.

Questions about this item

How does the fixed 90 °F thermostat affect gas flow in a real 100 lb cylinder?

It keeps the cylinder at a steady 90 °F so propane vapor pressure stays high enough for consistent appliance draw even in cold weather.

What power connection does the 280 W heater use and what circuit can handle it?

The blanket runs on 280 W and connects via a standard household plug, drawing little enough current for any normal wall outlet.

Will the 53.14 × 50.28 in wrap fit my 100 lb tank and how is it secured?

The full-wrap blanket is sized for 100 lb cylinders and fastens with Velcro plus two sealing straps so it stays tight without slipping.
