Compact 39-inch two-tier habitat

The VEVOR JM-XC-083 is a 39-inch tall metal cage designed for small animals such as ferrets. Two levels connected by a metal ladder and velvet cover give pets vertical space to climb and rest. Four plastic wheels make the 17.5 kg unit easy to move for cleaning or repositioning.

Upgrade from single-level starter cages

Owners moving up from basic one-tier enclosures gain a second floor that effectively doubles usable area without a larger footprint. The jump is worth it when animals show climbing behaviour or when a single tray requires daily scrubbing. Two included PP trays separate waste from living space for simpler maintenance.

Limits of 0.55-inch wire spacing

The 0.55-inch bar gap contains adult ferrets and similar-sized animals but allows very young kits or smaller species to escape. Builders needing containment for dwarf hamsters or baby rodents must add mesh or choose a different enclosure. The iron frame resists chewing but the plastic trays can crack under heavy impact.

Questions about this item

How much floor space does the 39.4 inch tall cage need?

The cage measures 36.2 inches wide by 22.8 inches deep, so allow at least that footprint plus clearance for the four plastic wheels.

Which hardware is used to assemble the two tiers and what tool is supplied?

Fifteen screws and a hex key are included; tighten all screws evenly before attaching the metal ladder and ladder cover so the 0.55 inch wire spacing stays aligned.

What parts should be checked or replaced over time for a ferret cage?

Inspect the two double spring metal locks, the PP small and large trays, the bottom storage net and the four plastic wheels regularly for wear or damage.
