Humane cage trap for common garden animals

The VEVOR LB-18 is a galvanised iron live trap measuring 610 x 203 x 203 mm. It targets stray cats, rabbits, squirrels, raccoons, groundhogs, armadillos and opossums. The dense mesh prevents escape while smooth wire edges protect the animal from injury. A sheet-metal door and reinforced pedal complete the capture mechanism.

Single-door design limits capture to one animal

The trap uses a gravity-fed sheet-metal door triggered by an L-shaped lever pedal. Only one animal can enter before the door closes, so multiple pests require repeated setting. The 203 mm width restricts use to animals that fit through the opening. Galvanised coating resists corrosion but the wire mesh offers no protection against determined chewing from large predators.

Folding frame assembles in minutes

The unit ships folded flat and expands into shape without tools. Ten nylon strips are supplied to secure the corners and door hinges during use. First-time users sometimes misalign the trigger rod, causing the door to stick open. Ensure the pedal moves freely before baiting and check that all strips are tight to prevent the frame from shifting under animal weight.

Questions about this item

Which size of the LB-18 trap should I choose for a raccoon or groundhog?

The single model measures 24 x 8 x 8 inch (610 x 203 x 203 mm) and weighs 1.8 kg, a size suited for raccoons, groundhogs, opossums and similar animals.

How does the 24 x 8 x 8 inch footprint work once the trap is set in the garden?

The galvanised iron wire mesh and sheet-metal door create a 610 mm long cage that folds flat for storage, then opens to a rigid enclosure with an external handle for safe carrying.

What does the galvanised iron construction mean for outdoor durability?

The galvanised coating on the wire, door, pedal and handle resists corrosion in all weather, while the thickened mesh withstands bites and impacts without deforming.
