Humane Trap for Urban and Rural Wildlife

The galvanised iron cage measures 42 by 16 by 18 inches and targets raccoons, armadillos, cats, marmots, stray dogs and foxes. Its L-shaped trigger lever closes the door without injuring the animal. Dense mesh prevents escape and protects the catch from outside interference. Smooth wire edges stop the trapped animal from panicking or biting the mesh.

Folding Frame and Nylon Strips Simplify Transport

The trap folds flat for storage and carries via an external galvanised handle. Ten nylon strips are included to secure the folded unit or reinforce the door latch during relocation. Galvanised coating resists corrosion in wet conditions so the cage remains functional across seasons. No tools are required to unfold and lock the frame into position.

Quick Setup With Minimal Risk of Misassembly

Open the cage, press the frame locks until they click, then bait the reinforced pedal plate. The most common error is failing to seat the L-shaped lever fully, which leaves the door unlatched. Ensure the mesh door swings freely before setting the trap. The 21 lb weight keeps the unit stable once placed on level ground.

Questions about this item

How often will the galvanized iron wire mesh need replacing if the trap stays outdoors year-round?

The galvanized coating on the iron wire mesh resists corrosion in all weather conditions, so the mesh itself should not require scheduled replacement under normal outdoor use.

Which component reaches its limit first when the trap is triggered repeatedly over a long period?

The L-shaped trigger lever and the reinforced-edge galvanized sheet metal pedal are the moving parts that absorb each activation; they will show wear before the welded wire frame does.

Does the trap become hot or noisy when left set in direct sunlight for a full day?

The trap has no powered components, so it generates no heat of its own and makes no sound until the door snaps shut on an animal.
