Rooftop Tent for 2-3 People

The VEVOR LY-YS6161 hard-shell rooftop tent sleeps two adults and one child, making it suited for families who want an elevated camping base on a Jeep, SUV, van or pickup truck with a roof load rating of at least 600 lbs.

Inflatable Poles and Telescopic Ladder

Inflatable poles let the shell pop open quickly, while the included telescopic ladder reaches the entry point; the hard ABS shell locks shut for travel. The 146.6 lbs package weight means two people or a roof rack assist are needed to lift and bolt the unit onto crossbars.

Check Roof Capacity and Clearance

Verify your vehicle’s dynamic roof load limit meets or exceeds 600 lbs and that crossbar spacing matches the tent’s mounting footprint. Confirm garage height clearance accounts for the closed shell profile and ensure the ladder length suits your vehicle’s roof height before ordering.

Questions about this item

How can I verify the tent is correctly deployed and stable after setup?

Confirm the ABS hard shell locks are fully engaged, the telescopic ladder is extended and secured, and the stainless steel support poles hold the structure firm with no sagging fabric.

What comes in the package and what must I supply separately?

The box contains the rooftop tent (model LY-YS6161) and an installation pack; you must provide a vehicle roof rack rated for at least 600 lbs and any mounting hardware the rack requires.

Which capacity version should I choose for my family trips?

This model is built for two adults plus one child with a 600 lb roof-load limit; select it only if your vehicle and roof rack meet that capacity and the 146.6 lb tent weight fits your setup.
