Basement Sewage Solution
The 700 W macerator pump grinds and lifts waste water up to 32.8 ft vertically and 9600 L/h maximum flow. It serves toilets, showers, sinks and bathtubs in below-grade bathrooms where gravity drainage is impossible. A copper motor and IP68 rating support continuous 75 °C water and four-hour peaks at 90 °C.
Upgrade From Manual Lift Stations
Replaces bucket-and-carry or gravity-only rough-ins that require concrete breaking and deep trenching. The jump is worth it when adding a bathroom to a finished basement or converting a garage without access to a below-slab sewer line. The 3.5 in toilet inlet, 1.6 in shower inlet and 1.6 in main outlet match standard DWV pipe sizes.
Limits Of The Macerator Standard
The cutting chamber handles organic waste and toilet paper only; feminine-hygiene products, wipes or heavy solids will jam the impeller. Maximum head of 32.8 ft assumes clear 1.6 in discharge piping — every elbow or long horizontal run reduces effective lift. The silver-ion tank inhibits odour at 99 % but does not replace a vent stack or trap seal.
