Collapsible 10.8" Microwave Cover

This microwave splatter cover combines a tempered glass lid with a silicone rim that folds from 4.9 inches down to 1.9 inches in height. It is designed for anyone who wants to keep the microwave interior clean while reheating plates or bowls up to 10.8 inches wide. The set includes a matching silicone mat that works as a heat-resistant pad or jar opener.

Heat-Resistant Up to 500°F

The food-grade silicone and tempered glass construction is rated to withstand 500°F without deformation, so the cover remains stable during extended microwave cycles and can also be used in a conventional oven. The materials do not warp or melt under sustained high temperatures, maintaining their shape and protective function throughout longer cooking sessions.

Check Plate Diameter and Oven Clearance

Before ordering, measure your largest plate or bowl to confirm it fits within the 10.8-inch diameter when the cover is expanded. Verify that your microwave or oven cavity provides at least 4.9 inches of vertical clearance for the fully raised lid, and ensure the 1.53 lb weight is acceptable for your shelving or turntable.

Questions about this item

How hot does the 500°F-rated silicone-and-glass cover get during a long microwave cycle?

The food-grade silicone and tempered glass are rated to 500 °F and remain stable without deformation, so the cover itself stays cool enough to handle safely after extended heating.

What size plate or bowl do I need to already own for the 10.8-inch cover to fit?

The cover measures 10.8 in (275 mm) square when expanded, so any plate or dish up to that width will sit underneath it.

Will the 1.9-inch folded height clear the turntable on my older compact microwave?

When collapsed the unit is only 1.9 in (48 mm) tall, leaving plenty of clearance for most turntable mechanisms.
