PML-100 Magnetic Lifter for Steel Handling

The VEVOR PML-100 is a permanent magnetic lifter rated at 220 lbs with a 2.5 safety factor. It uses N42 neodymium magnets to grip flat or cylindrical ferrous pieces from 0.2 to 2.2 inches thick. The unit weighs 6 lbs and measures 3.6 by 2.4 by 2.9 inches. It suits workshop hoists, shop cranes and occasional plate moves.

Gloves and Hex Wrench Included

A pair of gloves protects hands from sharp edges while positioning the magnet. The supplied hex wrench allows quick handle adjustment or maintenance without sourcing tools separately. Both items ship in the same box so the lifter is ready for immediate use on delivery.

220 lbs Rated Capacity with 2.5 Safety Factor

The 220 lb working limit and 2.5 safety factor mean the pull-off force exceeds 550 lbs under test conditions. Buyers who need to lift heavier plates or non-ferrous metals cannot use this model. It is built only for ferrous loads within the stated thickness range.

Questions about this item

How often should the N42 neodymium magnets be inspected or replaced under normal use?

The permanent N42 neodymium magnets do not require scheduled replacement; inspect the four magnet faces and the chrome-plated hook for damage before each lift.

What is the maximum sheet thickness the PML-100 can safely grip before the magnetic field drops off?

The lifter is rated for steel sheets between 0.2 in and 2.2 in thick; beyond 2.2 in the holding force falls below the 220 lb rating.

Does the lifter generate heat or noise when left engaged on a hoist for an entire shift?

No — the permanent magnet produces no heat and operates silently; the only moving part is the chrome-plated handle used to engage or release the load.
