Capacity and intended use

This three-tier cart holds up to 220 lbs across its shelves, with each level rated for 73 lbs. It suits libraries, offices, schools and home workspaces that need mobile storage for books, folders or equipment.

Practical limits of the design

The carbon-steel frame measures 12.6 x 13.8 x 36.8 in and weighs 24.47 lbs fully assembled. Two of the four swivel casters lock for stability, but the unit is not motorised and relies on manual pushing across flat floors.

Setup checks before ordering

Verify that doorways and aisles accommodate the 36.8 in height and 13.8 in depth. Ensure the floor surface is level enough for the 2 in casters to roll and lock securely. Assembly uses pre-drilled holes and included hardware; no special tools are required.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the single-sided L-shaped three-tier version or a different style for my space?

The cart is a single-sided L-shaped three-tier unit measuring 12.6 by 13.8 by 36.8 inches with 11-inch shelf clearance, so it fits narrow aisles and leaves the back open for wall placement.

What does the 220 lb total capacity mean when I load all three shelves?

Each carbon-steel shelf is rated for 73 lbs, giving a combined 220 lbs across the three tiers; the frame weighs 24.47 lbs and the rust-resistant coating protects the steel under heavy daily use.

How do the 2-inch lockable casters perform on hard floors and what do they limit?

The four TPR swivel casters roll silently on wood or tile, and two lock to hold the cart stationary; they set the overall height at 36.8 inches and support the full 220 lb load.
