Galvanised Steel Hardware Cloth

This 36-inch by 100-foot roll uses 23-gauge galvanised steel wire with a hot-dipped coating for corrosion resistance. The 0.25-inch square mesh openings measure 6.35 millimetres across. Supplied as a single 14.5-kilogram roll, it suits fencing, garden protection and small-animal enclosures.

Suits pest barriers and pet enclosures

Gardeners needing a quarter-inch barrier against rabbits or rodents will find the mesh size appropriate. Builders requiring larger apertures for airflow or heavier gauges for structural loads should consider alternative mesh specifications not covered by this roll.

Verify roll dimensions and handling

Confirm the 915-millimetre width fits the intended frame or post spacing before ordering. The 30.48-metre length and 32-pound weight require adequate transport and storage space. No fasteners or tools are included in the package.

Questions about this item

What fasteners or tools do I need to secure the 23 gauge galvanized steel wire mesh?

Use galvanized staples, U-nails or zip ties with a staple gun or hammer; the 0.25 in mesh and 23 gauge wire accept standard fencing hardware without special tools.

Will the 36 in wide roll align with standard 36 in garden bed frames or coop panels I already have?

Yes, the roll is exactly 36 in wide (915 mm), so it matches common 36 in framing lumber and pre-built panels without trimming the width.

How can I verify the hot-dipped galvanized coating is intact after unrolling the 100 ft length?

Inspect the silver finish for a uniform dull-grey zinc layer; no bare steel or rust spots should be visible on the 0.25 in mesh across the full 30.48 m roll.
