Steel enclosure for electrical components

The VEVOR ST6620 is a cold-rolled carbon steel enclosure rated NEMA 4 and IP65 with IK10 impact protection. It measures 24 x 24 x 8 in externally and 23.5 x 23.5 x 7 in internally. A detachable galvanized backplate of 22.2 x 22 in and a rain hood are included for component mounting and water shedding.

Suited for indoor or outdoor wiring junctions

Installers who need a continuously welded, powder-coated box with a foam or nylon gasket and a lockable hinged lid will find the certifications TUV, CE and 508A relevant. It is not for applications that require a non-metallic body, a transparent cover or a different protection class such as NEMA 4X.

Operating range of -40 to 122 °F

The enclosure is rated for ambient temperatures from -40 to 122 °F (-40 to 55 °C), which decides whether the environment stays within the certified limits for the gasket and finish.

Questions about this item

What is included with the ST6620 enclosure and what must be purchased separately?

The package includes one guide rail, one rain hood, four hanging lugs, one gasket for the enclosing plate, one earth wire, three earth labels, two keys, eight plugs, one accessories package and one fastener set. Electrical components, cable glands and DIN rails are not included and must be bought separately.

Which capacity or version of the ST6620 should I choose?

The ST6620 is a single 24 x 24 x 8 inch model with a 22.2 x 22 inch galvanised backplate; there are no alternative capacities or versions listed for this MPN.

What does the IP65 rating mean once the enclosure is installed?

IP65 confirms the box is dust-tight and protected against water jets from any direction, so internal equipment stays clean and dry in outdoor or wash-down environments when the door is closed and the gasket is intact.
