Crowd-Control Stanchion Set

This four-piece kit provides gold-finished 201 stainless-steel posts with fillable bases and two red velvet ropes. It is intended for event organisers, venue managers and hospitality staff who need temporary barriers for queues, red-carpet entries or museum-style guidance.

Fillable Base Stability Limits

Each hollow base weighs 0.50 lbs empty and reaches 7.72 lbs when filled with sand, giving a total system weight of 11.46 lbs. The polyethylene base measures 14.17 inches wide and relies solely on sand ballast for wind and impact resistance, so it cannot match the holding power of bolted or concrete-mounted stanchions.

Replaces Lightweight Plastic Posts

The set upgrades from basic plastic chain posts that tip easily and lack a premium appearance. The jump is worth it when the event demands a formal gold-and-red aesthetic, tool-free assembly with the included wrench and screws, and the flexibility of four-way connectors for custom rope layouts.

Questions about this item

Should I choose the 1.5 m velvet ropes or a different length for my event?

The set includes two 1.5 m red velvet ropes with 32 mm diameter, designed to connect the four gold posts for flexible crowd control layouts.

What does the 7.72 lb filled base weight mean for stability on a real floor?

Each hollow PE base reaches 7.72 lb when filled with sand, giving the 201 stainless steel posts enough mass to resist knocks and stay upright on smooth or outdoor surfaces.

How does the four-way connector interface limit the way I can arrange the stanchions?

Each post has a four-way connector, so ropes can run straight, at right angles, or in a cross pattern, letting you build queues, barriers or corner enclosures as needed.
