Galvanised Steel Garden Edging

This three-piece steel edging kit creates clean borders for flower beds, pathways and lawn zones. Each strip measures 40 inches long by 8 inches high with a thickness of .06 inches. The galvanised coating resists rust and fading through seasonal weather changes.

Fixed Length and Spike Depth

Every section is a set 40 inches long and cannot be shortened without tools. The integrated spikes extend 3.15 inches into the ground, limiting use to soil deep enough to accept that penetration. The 8.86-inch overall width includes the spike portion, so the visible face sits lower than the total height.

Clip Assembly and Ground Preparation

Five clips measuring 1.5 by 10.24 inches join the sections together using pre-drilled holes. The pack includes gloves but no nails; hard or rocky ground may require pre-drilling pilot holes for the spikes. Installation is straightforward on prepared beds but becomes difficult in compacted clay or gravel.

Questions about this item

Is the 3-pack the only way to get 40 in lengths, or are single 40 in pieces sold separately?

The product is supplied as a 3-pack of 40 in edgings; no single-piece option is listed.

What does the 4.84 in surface height mean once the edging is driven into the ground?

After the 3.15 in spikes are buried, 4.84 in of black galvanised steel remains visible above soil level.

How do the 1.5 x 10.24 in clips join the 40 in sections together?

Five clips are included; each spans the joint between two edgings and locks them into a continuous border.
