Junior Treasure Detector

The VEVOR TS26 metal detector is built for children and beginners who want a lightweight entry into hobby detecting. Its adjustable handle extends from 26 to 36 inches so the shaft grows with the user. A 6-inch IP68 search coil handles wet sand and shallow water without damage. The kit includes a carry bag, digging shovel, rake, battery and manual for immediate outdoor use.

Rugged IP68 Coil and Ergonomic Shaft

The search coil carries an IP68 rating, meaning it survives full immersion during beach or stream searches. The ABS shaft weighs only 0.95 kg, reducing fatigue during long sessions. An LCD display and audio tones between 800 and 1000 Hz give clear target feedback. The telescopic shaft locks securely at the chosen length, preventing collapse while swinging.

5.8 kHz Frequency for Coin and Relic Hunting

Operating at 5.8 kHz, the detector balances sensitivity to small gold items with ground stability in mineralised soil. Maximum detection depth reaches 6 inches for coin-sized objects. Sensitivity is rated at 15 cm for fine tuning in trashy areas. The unit runs on a 7.6 to 9.6 V supply and functions in temperatures from minus 10 to 50 degrees Celsius.

Questions about this item

What frequency does the 5.8 kHz detector operate at and what detection depth does that allow?

The unit runs at 5.8 kHz and reaches a maximum detection depth of 6 in under typical ground conditions.

What are the handle and coil dimensions I need to clear for storage?

The handle adjusts from 26 to 36 in and the search coil is 6 in wide, so allow at least 37.4 in of length in the case.

How do I power the detector and which step is often missed?

Insert the supplied battery observing the 7.6-9.6 V polarity marks, then secure the battery cover until it clicks; many forget the click and lose contact.
