Underbody Truck Box 24" 14" 16

This aluminium diamond-plate storage box mounts beneath a truck, van or trailer bed. It provides a lockable, weather-resistant compartment for tools, recovery gear or cargo that must stay dry and secure while the vehicle is in motion.

Load Capacity and Wall Thickness Limits

The box is rated for a maximum load of 66 lbs or 30 kg. Its walls are 0.06 inch or 1.5 mm thick, so concentrated point loads or impacts from heavy equipment can deform the lid or sides if the weight is not distributed evenly across the 23.6 by 15.4 inch interior floor.

Bolt-On Installation and Common Fit Issues

Mounting uses the pre-drilled flange holes and supplied hardware; basic hand tools are sufficient for a single-person fit. The most frequent problem is interference with factory cross-members, exhaust routing or brake lines, which requires careful measurement of the 24 by 14 by 16 inch envelope before drilling any holes.

Questions about this item

The listing shows one size 24 x 14 x 16 inches. Is that the only version available?

Yes, the single model UTTB-241416 comes in that 24 x 14 x 16 inch exterior size with a 23.6 x 15.4 inch interior and 66 lb load capacity.

What does the 66 lb load capacity mean when the box is bolted under my truck?

It means the box and its contents together should not exceed 66 lb or 30 kg when mounted, so tools, chains and straps must stay within that limit.

How does the T-handle latch and lock work with the hinge on this box?

The T-handle latch operates the lock with the two included keys, while the hidden hinge lets the lid open smoothly without protruding hardware.
